So, here is the oddness.

I have a PS4 and an XBOX one plugged into an ethernet switch. For some reason the LED is glowing amber, which means it is connected at 10/100.

Here comes the odd.

When I test the speed on the PS4 or the XBOX one, they both report around 400Mbps.

If the connection to the switch is 10/100 that shouldn't be possible.

I have tested this on two different switches, same result.

Linksys SE3008 V1 and V2 were the switches I tested with. Other devices plugged into the same switch is glowing green (Gig speed)

Any idea why it is doing this?

Could be a bad Ethernet cable.

I didn't think about the cable. It is happening on both of my game systems at the same time.

I changed both cables, issue persists.
The switch will see that the connection isn't full gigabit so it will light up the 10/100 light. However, it is still trying to send data over 100Mb. Overall the NICs are receiving at 400Mb...Could for some reason your NICs on the systems be set to half duplex instead of full duplex?

I tried looking around for info about adjusting network settings for the PS4 or XBOX one. It is EXTREMELY limited options. duplex isn’t listed as changeable.
