PS4 to Monitor via HDMI and monitor to external speaker

can this monitor (Asus VC239H 23) be used as monitor for PS4 and can i connect external speaker to it so the sound will be louder? i heard its built-speaker is not that good so im thinking of connecting speaker to it. its like ps4 to monitor via HDMI and monitor to external speaker.
Do i need additional stuff to make it work?
or just plug and play?

by the way, the monitor has green plug audio port at the back
but i dont know if its audio in or audio out

It will not work since the monitor only has audio in, depending on what kind of speakers you have you could connect them with digital optical input.
