Info PSA - Change your CMOS Battery

Hi,
Not sure where to post this one because it covers many categories?

Had some issues with Dell Optiplex acting strange and after a while going blue or gray screen had to re boot?
thought it might be software or GPU related.

just by chance checked the CMOS Cell battery and it was under .6v swapped it out and things back to normal.

Realized it's been about 10yrs so check em and swap them out if there low.

The CMOS battery on my 2005 IMB Thinkpad still works well, not sure how long would it really last but it was 17 years ago.

BTW, I replace CMOS battery on desktop computers every time I clean the inside and repaste the CPU / chipset...
