PSA on Dell Precision 7530s purchased in 2019.

Long-time Dell loyalist here. I've got a Dimension 8250 in my closet and it still lives.

I got burned, big-time, and I've pretty much had it with the people in Round Rock TX insulting me. tl;dr is -- if you bought a Precision 7530 with 'the' UHD UltraSharp IGZO display and it's giving you problems, check the model/PnP ID and date of manufacture.

Dell didn't have enough UHDs for the 7530 and the newly-released 7540, and instead of doing something sane, like, idk -- offering refunds or asking customers if they wanted to upgrade -- they shoved a bunch of defective displays into recently-sold 7530s.

Model LQ156D1JW02 / PnP ID SHP1430 / date of manufacture week 36, 2015. Known bad lot, plenty of contemporaneous complaints about it. And no, that's not a typo. It's 4 years old.
