So I tried building my own pc yesterday when I tried turning it on it wooden start up and the fans wooden spin either. After taking all the components apart, I think I have found the answer to the problem. I looked at the mb connecter from my psu and counted 24 pins but with one missing. After that I looked at my motherboard connecter and found out that it has 24 pins. Could this be the reason for my pc not turning on?

Solution
No, there is supposed to be a blank pin there.

There are a ton of other reasons for this. When you installed the motherboard did you install all the standoffs first and then put screws in all of them? Is the power switch on the PSU on? Is the PSU plug all the way in on the board? Is there anything that could be shorting the board out?
It's suppose to be missing.

Was removed several years ago , not needed.

Is there anything that could be shorting the board out?

Such as metal or exposed wire touching something? Or as I said a standoff thats not screwed in touching the back of the board?
