I need a 500 w psu with a 6 pin connector for an ati radeon 7770 graphics card. I found a Rocketfish RF-500WPS2 500-Watt ATX CPU Power Supply for it. I don't know if I should buy it. Can someone please recommend me a reliable one that is in a price range within 30-50 dollars. It also needs to have a 6 pin connector. Also does every psu can fit a desktop? I have an ACER Veriton m420 computer. Do all of them fit or do I need a specific size?

You don't, the site where you buy the unit from will tell you this assuming that your running the worst piece of crap PSU on the market. With a quality unit, you can safely use way way less. And the Antec is very good.

I'm on my Linux box right now, if you need real proof I'm running a 6770 MSI TWN FRZR (which uses more power than the 7770) and I'm using an Antec EarthWatts 380w unit. I reboot this computer when I take it to LAN parties, so about twice every friday. Otherwise it runs 24/7, no problems at all.

Bottom line, you NEED a good PSU, a bad one will take out your whole system, and when you run a good unit, you don't need near as much power as the sites tell you.

Thanks

I have the RF-500WPS2 unit and for 2 years or more it has ran this i5 750 8gb ram and ATI 5850 changed to 650Ti. So I would say its ok. I still can't find a exact review on this model only on the 700 and 900 models and the huntkey 400and up models, Noting on this Unit. The Ecos Id 1859 does not bring up any Huntkey Green star models. So I have no Idea of the load test Stability, Just the 80plus test. So I honestly Can't say I recommend it, Nor can I say it's junk. WHY CAN'T I FIND A LOAD TEST ON IT? lol
