PSU 750W enough for MSI GTX 980TI Gaming 4G?

Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading my graphics card from MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G to MSI GTX 980Ti Gaming 4G. I want to know if my PSU will be able to run it.

Here is my current specs my PC:

CPU - Intel Core i7-4770
GPU - MSI gaming 4G GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB
RAM - Crucial RAM DDR3 8GBx1 & Kingston RAM DDR3 8GBx1
MOBO - Z87I GAMING AC
PSU - Corsair CX series CX750M 80 Plus Bronze
CPU Cooler - Standard Intel CPU cooler
OS SSD - Window 10, Samsung EVO 250GB
HDD - Seagate Hybrid 4TB
Case - Cooler master Elite 130
Optical drive - ASUS Blu ray player

Last time I changed my PSU died because it wasn't enough. So, I don't want to make the same mistake again.

It is enough wattage, but that is NOT a good psu to run a GTX980ti on. The CX line are not meant to be used for high-end gaming.

If you are getting a GTX 980ti you'll want to pair it with a top-notch PSU as well, like the EVGA G2 750W 80+ Gold:

yes 750w is enough for a single 980ti, your system uses around 500-550w but the quality of the corsair cx isn't that great.

A GeForce GTX 980ti needs 38 amps on the 12v+ rail and a 600 watt power supply with 2 - PCIE power connections.

Although not the greatest quality the CX750M Exceeds these requirements.

Both are fantastic power supplies and will work just fine. Of the two I would get the one with the better price, you can't make a bad choice between those two.
