psu advise for double gpu

Solution
To be precise.

A GTX780 and a GTX760 don't even share the same GPU design. GK110 vs GK104.

Even within the same series you can't do it. GTX770 and GTX760 as well as the GTX670 and GTX680 are all from the GK104 family. The minor revisions and technology additions make it impossible for them to communicate.

In the case of the GTX760 and GTX770 some parts of the GK104 chip have been disabled on the 760.

AMD takes an alternative route here. GPUs within their same series can be Crossfired. What they do is simply disable the mismatched parts via software. If you pair a R9-270X and an R9-270 you get the equivalent of having two R9-270, the excess is wasted.

What you can't do is crossfire previous revisions of the same GPU. So even though...

Last I read and heard you needed same one as the first 760 with 760, they don't' communicate with others well, it doesn't have to be same company but same series atleast (770 +770 yes, 770 + 760 no) that is what I have read, even AMD has some cards that don't do that anymore to many headaches

Oh how come? And im not sure sure

You just can't.
You can use 2xGTX 760 or 2x GTX 780,but GTX 760 and GTX 780 can't go together.

What you can't do is crossfire previous revisions of the same GPU. So even though the HD7870 is essentially an R9-270X the minor changes won't allow you to crossfire them.
