I recently bought a refurbished dell t3500 from newegg. Here are the specs
Dell Precision T3500 Workstation 1x W3690 Six Core 3.47Ghz, 12GB 300GB 10K DVDRW FX580 525W Win 7 Pro.
I was thinking about getting a new gtx 970 but I seem to be running into an issue with the psu. It only has one free 6 pin and no free 8 pins. It does have some satas free though. Can I safely convert satas to 8 pin? And if so can my psu handle a 970. Since it appears to me the amp would be to low for the card?
