So after having a lot of choices within my budget of power supply, I got a silverstone 500W strider essentials. It's connector has this plug thing that has 3 plugs, I don't know if you understand me but I can't plug it into my outlet unless I put it into my AVR (a cheap one, a delkin something brand, NOT a servo motor.)

So my question is, since I can't plug it without plugging it first to the avr (because the avr has the exact plug to the outlet) can I do this? then if not, what will i do, will i need to buy an extension something for my power supply plug and then plug it directly to the outlet without an AVR?

I don't really know if you understand me but I honestly don't know what to do. Right now I'm using it with AVR.

I have both my avr and power supply on now. I mean I switched both to on. Cause both has an on switch.

Sounds like you got a cord for a different country with your PSU? You can buy a suitable cord at ebay or such if you search for a power supply cord [insert your country/region here]. I've noticed myself that it seems like manufacturers seem to get a bit lazy (sloppy?) with what they sell where. I got a continental European plug with my latest power supply and a US (!?) AC with my Surface tablet. :p
