Hello!
i just want to ask something guys of the GTX 960 psu that use 400W only...but some people say if you want to overclock it and the CPU together u will need 500w (my current CPU is intel core i5 760 2.8ghz that can up to 3.33ghz)
my current pc:
*intel core i5 760 2.8ghz
*RAM 8 GB 8x1
*motherboard :GA-P55-USB3L
i will buy:
GTX 960 G1 2GB
and XFX 450W or ZALMAN 500w
so what should i get 450w or 500w? and what is the best PSU for this card?
and there will be any problem is i overclock the card and CPU together?
thanks

sorry i'm new here and in overclocking too i never done it before! but i can't understand you well what is aftermarket cooler!!
and why overclock CPU only?

Most GTX 960 come factory overclocked, and the GPU itself uses "boost clock" which is a sort of automatic overclocking. Even if you overclock the GPU, it will not go much higher.

About the CPU, you can get really good results with an aftermarket cooler. Aftermarket cooler is a cooler you buy separately to replace the stock cooler that comes with the CPU.

my i5-4690K + EVGA 960 SSC system draws less than 200W when gaming, and around 350-400W at full synthetic load (that will never happen in any real-world use).

Of the two PSUs you consireding, get the one that delivers more current on the 12V rail.

If the XFX unit is the TS 450W, the 12V rail delivers 44A max

If the Zalman unit is the ZM500-LE, the 12V rails deliver a max of 444W, or 37A so it's effectively worse than the XFX unit.
