This isn't a new issue, I actually noticed this about 2-ish months ago. I know my PSU makes a constant buzzing sound regardless of load, probably coil whine, but it also makes a feint buzzing even when powered off. Now I've read this is normal because power is still going into the PSU, but should it be doing it even when the switch is turned off? It only stops if I unplug the power cable.

It's an RM750x btw.

Noise is a subjective topic, what are you trying to describe when you say feint ? You might want to take a video w/audio of the noise you speak of and then pass it onto us.

Technically, this isn't supposed to happen.

It only stops if I unplug the power cable.
I'm assuming your wall outlet or the wiring in your abode is compromised.

By feint I mean it's much quieter then when turned on. Honestly I don't think I can even record it, tried before but my old phone can't pick it up very well but I could try?

I'm not electrician or anything, but where I live was built fairly recently (about 2 years ago) and you'd think they'd wire it correctly, right? I don't know, I have it in a surge protector but it makes no difference directly in the wall outlet.

I'm moving next month so I guess I'll know by then, but I figured I'd ask anyways
