I think I posted in the wrong category and im so sorry for that. I cant find anything related to my question.

Anyone here tried to spray paint a PSU Cable using Acrylic Epoxy/Acrylic Laquer? I am planning to sleeve individually my cable after painting. The sleeve color is Purple and White. I see many sleeved cable that uses black wires then after putting light sleeves the color of the sleeves become dark due to the color of the cable. I want to paint it with white to make the color still light but I am not sure if its safe or not.

Well....it definitely won't hurt anything as long as you ONLY get paint on the wire insulation.

The things is....depending on the paint...I think it could crack....especially if you put it on too thick.

I'm not familiar with how Acrylic Epoxy/Lacquer acts....so I don't know about this.

I have used spray paint on wires though. I'm not sure what kind. All is know...is if I use a thin coating....it seems to work pretty well and doesn't crack or come off.

What you might do....is lightly sand the wires before you spray. This will help it stick.
