Hi all, I've decided to upgrade from two 560tis to a Strix GTX 970 and I've just realized that the power connectors are not compatible.

The 560tis have 2x6pin connectors and the GTX970 has a single 8pin connection.
My PSU is an Enermax emd625awt

My question is, which cable do I need exactly to install the GTX970?

I'm a little lost with this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

(update): after checking the current cable connecting the PSU to the gtx560tis, it is 2 x 6+2pin connector i.e. 8pin! Can I use this cuurent cable?

Cheers again

You need a single 8 pin connector. Most power supply come with a 6+2 pin connectors and that will work.

Thanks so much for your help, on further inspection i found that the 6 pin & 2 pin plugs actually mate up together when plugged in so all is good now!
Cheers!

Thanks Tradesman1, yep it did fit and the card is, after some Displayport issues, working perfectly!

Just to take this a little further for anyone new to installing new GPUs and going 4K:
After clearing up the power cable issue, i was getting a blank screen on startup (win7 64, 4K Monitor with Displayport).
My PC was booting fine, I could hear the login screen tone and could login to the desktop, just no picture.

The solution typed up by ManFromURKEL over on Reddit did the trick for me!
