PSU Choice, really limited.

Well hello community, I'm going to need a decent PSU but I don't have a lot of choice. I need something between 500-600w.

I don't really have good PSUs in my country, better quality are really expensive, compared to rest of the world. There's no EVGA, XFX, there are some Seasonic PSUs but they are around 100$.

Here's what I have available...

LC Power - Silent Giant 560W

Chieftec - GPS-500A8
GPS-600A8

Raidmax - Cobra RX-500AF-B
Cobra RX-600AF-B

Cooler Master - B2 Series

Thermaltake - Smart SE SPS-530M
Smart SE SPS-630M

So, yeah not really great...

My question is, which one of those would be best for my system, and are they even worth putting inside case?

If your GPU doesn't require more than 450w according to this chart:

https://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

I'd look for an Antec VP450 which is available in many countries, is very good quality and is usually inexpensive, even in India and Australia among others.

I would not use the Thermaltake Smart series or ANY of the other units you have listed unless you want problems. If you can't find anything else, at the very least try to get a Corsair CX series which isn't a favorite of mine but is also usually cheap and is better than any of those.

Us the tier list as a guide:

How much does 8.499 equals to? sorry having trouble understanding the language even in numbers

70 eur, to convert just type price, rsd to eur
I'm guessing it was Thermaltake Smart just with 90% gold eff.?

Get this:

Well thanks, both of you. I guess I'll go with it then, and btw if anyone interested my rig would be something like this :

I3-4160
8GB RAM
GTX-960 (When it comes out)

So I don't need that much power, but if that's best thing I can get for money then I'll go with it.

Good luck man, have fun with it

With a crappy psu you will be risking your other components. It's better to be safe than sorry. There is nothing good on that website between 500-600 watts. They won't be stable and you wil end up damaging your parts especially the gpu.

Yeah, sadly I don't have even that one...
Above you can see they recommended me
Thermaltake Smart SPS-630M GOLD 90% eff.

So is it better if it's Gold 90% eff.?

Yes. Gold certified is an excellent standard for a psu.

Well thanks, then I'm going to buy that one for sure...After GTX-960 come out 😛

Do you kow what 80plus ratings mean? Nothing. They are NOT a suitable criteria for PSU selection. There are crap units with gold ratings and absolutely fantastic units that have no 80plus rating whatsoever. 80+ doesn't mean a damn thing when selecting a PSU. Most really good PSU's DO have a good rating, but like I said, there are also a TON of crappy units with good efficiency ratings too.

So what if a unit runs at 80-90% efficiency if it dies two weeks later or has terrible voltage regulation, noise or ripple. Wonderful if your unit is very efficient but burns up the first time you actually try to run it anywhere near it's rated load when your GPU loads up. Here is what 80plus means to me, and don't think I'm hammering on you, just thought you should know for future reference so none of you base decisions on it or tell other people to:

Power supplies with fake 80plus badges: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/power-supplies-with-fake-80-plus-badges/1054

Why 80plus is irrelevant: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/10/04/80_plus_irrelevant_to_you_when_buying_psu/#.VK31s-ktFhF

Why we don't buy cheap power supplies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ezk9OA7aKOE

And the most important one of all, the PSU Tier list. For ANY system, you want AT LEAST a Tier 3 unit. For any gaming or overclocking rig, or system you value and want to last for some time, and not experience any issues in games because the PSU sucks, you want a Tier 2B or higher unit: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

By the way, the Thermaltake TR-2 and Smart series PSUs are among the worst units you can buy ANYWHERE with a major manufacturer name brand on them. I've heard there are some newer Smart series units that are somewhat better but I've yet to see proof of this, plus, in a country like yours it's almost always the case that you're getting hardware that has been moved out of inventory in countries where they couldn't move the product so the versions are not recent in most cases. Which means, if you get a Smart series, it's likely a model with known crap internals, rather than one of the newer designs that may or may not be improved.

I'd really, REALLY, recommend that you not buy any of those units or you're wasting your money and you're going to be KICKING yourself in the ass two weeks after you buy it, if not sooner. Save some more money, and get one of the Seasonic units that I see listed on that site. Yeah, they're more expensive, but in reality it's a less expensive option when you consider not having to buy it twice because it fails.

Also, you've not yet said WHAT model of GPU you have or are planning to get, it's kind of hard to say and I don't understand how anybody above could make recommendations without knowing this.

I'm planning to get GTX-960 when it comes out, but I don't think I'll be able to buy it if I spend so much money on PSU...(almost same as CPU cost). There are some Toughpower PSUs from Thermaltake, they are almost as expensive as seasonic, but still way over my budget.

Edit : Altho I see people doing just fine with those PSUs I listed, so I don't get it why are they so bad?
Edit2 : Well everyone recommended Thermaltake Smart SE SPS-530M, they say it's best available for it's price. No one is really complaining and they don't have any problems.
