Hi guys. Serious problem here.
I built myself a new pc. Now every time I try to turn it on the circuit breaker pops. The weird thing is in the beginning some lights on mb were on. When I pressed power on on the case nothing happened.
After switching the psu on and off 2-3 times the circuit breaker popped. I thought maybe the PSU is faulty and ordered a new one. Same stuff. Some lights were on then the breaker popped again. It also does when I just switch the psu on with nothing connected to it.
Another weird thing is I built the pc at my parents’ house and there everything worked.
I have tried different wall connections without any success.
My theory is either I am extremely unlucky and got 2 faulty PSUs in a row or the first damaged PSU damaged something else on the hardware or something on my apartments wiring is wrong.

Can anyone help me it really drives me nuts.

Solution
Agree.

If the pc worked at your parents' house then I would suspect the problem is within your home circuit or outlet.

Does anything else cause the circuit breaker to trip?

Could be that the circuit breaker is failing and faulty. That happens.

Did you try another power cable between wall outlet and PSU. Faulty PSU power cable.

Could be the new plug(s) are creating a short in the outlet.

What make and model PSU - wattage?
