Hello good people,
I just recently returned my old PSU due very coil whine issue, so I decided I should invest in something better, so I bought myself the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 650W. Now I connected everything and it works. But I noticed a click sound right after I push the power button. After than everything works fine. And when I turn it off, I could hear the HDD stops spinning, then the fans (got them on a hub) stops and in the end the PSU fan turn itself off with a click again. And I've noticed, that my GPU (Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G) leds just lights up very brightly before it turns off.

Should I RMA the PSU or it's normal behaviour? I haven't noticed that on the CX550M
Thanks

Many newer power supplies have internal relays, electronically engaged physical switches, that may click.

This may be related to adjusting itself for 110V AC operation vs 220V AC operation. Or simply a relay engaging, disengaging to activate one of the lower voltages after the appropriate 12V is available. (A lot of power supplies also now have DC-DC converters to produce the lower voltages, they may be waiting for a stable 12V before turning them on)

So basically it's a normal behaviour and I shouldn't worry

Thank you for the reply.
