PSU comparison for tier 2

Rosewill Hive 550 is included in tier 2 PSU (high quality). I've never heard this brand however, can anybody give some input (longevity, noise, efficiency, resilience against fluctuating voltage from power lines, etc) about this particular PSU? gonna house it in corsair carbide 200R. thanks

I have the HIVE 550, and it's pretty quiet and powers my overclocked 4670k and overclocked 760 HAWK just fine. My one gripe about it is the power cables are a bit on the shorter side, they won't reach around back and over the motherboard for CPU power. Other than that it's a great PSU.

what about Seasonic S12II-520 520W or Seasonic SS-500ET ? is this the one mentioned in the above link for Seasonic SS12 series under tier 2 section? thanks

Anything SeaSonic/XFX is a good unit. The 520w is a great power supply, and yes, is listed in the first Tier 2 of that list.

what about seasonic SS-500ET? is it tier 2 too? since there is also seasonic PSUs listed as tier 3 (which is mediocre).

it's said that it's going to be noisy on higher load (rosewill). is this corerct? how noisy are we talking here?

okay, it's not modular. Now, is there any difference between caapcitor used by seasonic M12 and S12 series? thanks
