Recently I was playing warzone, and my computer simply shut off on its own. After opening it and trying to turn it on again I realized that when I click the ON button, a light on the motherboard turns on for like a second and a mechanical sound (I believe in the motherboard) also occurs (this has always happened when I turn the computer on or off). But I was wondering if this was my PSU that died and if unsure how could I test it.

My computer is:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4960 3.3 GHz
MB: MSI z97-Gaming 5 ATX LGA 1155
Storage: Kingston 120 SSD, Seagate 1TB HDD
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB
PSU: EVGA G2 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular

Thanks for the help in advance!

Solution
Check all cables for damage, reseat them. If that doesn't help unplug everything from the motherboard except for the CPU and one stick of RAM, test it that way.

Is your 24 pin or 8 pin cpu cable in working order?

Is you psu cable that plugs into plug socket ok?

Maybe if you have spare cables start trouble shooting or if you have a 24 pin tester kit thing use that.
