Hi there,

I have a question about PSU dimensions that I hope you could kindly help me with.

I currently have a Win Power ATX 450 PSU in my PC case which I'm hoping to replace with a better more modern supply unit. The dimensions of this unit are as follows: 14.5 x 15 x 8.5 cm
As my current PSU follows ATX standards I assume that any other PSU that I purchase online that also follows ATX standards would have no problem fitting into my case?

However when I looked at the dimensions of supply units on Amazon for example their dimensions are quite a bit different than the dimensions of my current supply unit. For example the EVGA 750 GQ has the following dimensions: 33.2 x 21.6 x 11.4 cm

I understand that the "depth" of PSU's can vary but I always thought that if a PSU follows ATX standards that the height and width would always be the same. Because of this I'm apprehensive about purchasing any new PSU as I have no idea whether it would fit and be able to be screwed into the case.

If someone could kindly help me with this issue I would be greatly appreciative.

If you need any more information please let me know.

Kind regards,

Brendan

Solution
ther are various sizes of PSUs, PC cases have several holes so they all could get mounted as long size can fit inside
your PSU seems to be atx or something that old (1995+) as it has low load on 12v, while too much load on 5v rails, PSU u linked is in SFX-L format

Thanks for the helpful reply. The case that I have is called an X11 Advanced X-Station. Oddly enough I found a video on Youtube of a guy that has the exact same case that I have and he shows how he installs a new PSU inside the case. He appears to install a Corsair CX750 into the case which from looking online seems to have similar dimensions to my current PSU. (16 x 15 x 8.6 cm).

Here's a link to the video if anyone's interested: https://youtu.be/5PeUU_m2MFY?t=146
