Here's the deal, I recently built a new computer and salvaged my old PSU and hdd into the new machine. Everything seemed to be working fine and dandy except it would occasionally disconnect and reconnect my mouse. By deactivating "allow device to be disabled to conserve power", then it started disabling my wireless dangle, and I adjusted generic usb root hub to not be able to be disabled. The machine is now restarting itself either as I reach the login screen or a few minutes after I log in. It causes explorer.exe to crash, followed by an abrupt blue screen and a restart. This hall happened over the course of a week or so and I'm just trying to get verification before I replace the psu

It does this in regular boot and safe mode with no change in effect

Full specs would help troubleshooters to help you. For all we know, the PSU doesn't meet your power demand.

A few things I've noticed which pushes my curiosity.

(1) Moving your old HDD to the new PC. Does this mean OS as well? A new installation of the OS is recommended when making such a big change.

(2) You mention a blue screen. What are the details of the error which caused it? Blue screen errors usually give some indication.

On the second point, have you had the opportunity to configure the PC to create dump files so these blue screens can be analysed?
