[SOLVED] PSU fan as PC case fan

Good evening, gentlemen. I've recently changed my PSU and I was wondering if I could use its fan as a case fan, the fan in particular has a 2 pin connector. Would it work?

The issue is that the 2pin might not fit directly to motherboards proprietary connector, but if you hack you can connect it, just use the diagram to guide yourself (eg. Physically or dimension issue, not sure).
Or directly to the molex connector. But this is more DIY guide.

If your motherboard DC control for controlling fan speed it is good for you.

Well, I just found out that my motherboard has no more slots for fans, so I surely will have to use a molex, although I'm not quite sure how I should do it and if it's safe or not.

The problem is... Molex cables have TWO black cables, which one do I use?

If you're talking about a connector that has a red, black, black, and yellow wires; it doesn't matter which black wire you use.

If you're talking about a different type of cable, then post a link to what you're talking about, and we can sort that out for you; however, generally-speaking, the wire color dictates its voltage level: Black is 0Volts (Ground), Red is +5Volts, and yellow is +12Volts.

If your fan is labeled as a 5 volt fan, connect fan red to molex red, and fan black to molex black or fan blue to molex black.

If your fan is labeled as a 12 volt fan, connect fan red to molex yellow, or fan yellow to molex yellow, and fan black to molex black or fan blue to molex black.

Which molex black doesn't matter in the least, because those black wires are connected to the same place inside the power supply.
