Hi All,

My PSU fan ((Enermax NAXN 450W) is not spinning (everything else is fine). I understand that some PSU fans starts spinning only under heavy load. I usually word on low loads. How can I test if it is fine or not? Anyone had an experience with these PSUs?
If the PSU fan is dead, is it a major problem? I mean, what can happen if I continue using the PSU until the PSU will die at some point?

Also, the CPU temp in the BIOS is displayed as ~82C, while on Intel desktop utilities it is ~42C. I'm a bit puzzled. Any explanation?

THe fan should run at all times. You can test if its totally dead by unplugging the 24 pin connector from your motherboard and jumping out the black and green wires. This will get it to power up on its own and if the fan is good it will spin.

As for the temperature, try downloading CPU-Z to get a 3rd source. There should be no ciscrepancy, but maybe you've got the wrong spot in the BIOS?
