PSU fan making a lot of noise and vibration..should I worry about this? I blew out most of the dust with a bulb..and pushed the center of the fan..it's quite again now, but should I replace it immediately..this is a 2 yrs old Aerocool strike X modular in an SG13..I really need to use this pc for review right now, should I take out the R7 260x to lessen the load?

Solution

The PSU will fail regardless of load if the fan fails. It doesnlt matter if it makes noise so long as it runs.
I would say that you should replace the fan, but, actually, you should replace the PSU completly as it's of poor qulity.(this is evidenced by the fan failing after only two years aswell)

yees..it jusst a whhile ago that it made such nooise..just suddenly, I'm thinking the bearings might need replacement or oil..or just got loosed a bit..but I took out the GPU so it wouldn't stress out..

I was planniing on rreplacing it ever since I get this i5 4570 on March..but still out of funds, I'm eyeing onthe cheapest modular Seasonic..
