Question PSU fan very loud

whenever I start up a game my PSU fan will go to 100 then goes down. it doesn't just do this for games it also does it when I shut down my PC or restart it.
this is the power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 850W G5 Gold

Apparently, the G5 series are loud. Here's an excerpt from a review of the 750 G5 done here at Tom's. The G3 uses the same platform as the Superflower model listed to give some reference of how much quieter it is. The Corsair RMx series kills all with quietness. You should read the entire review of the G5. Too bad you didn't see it before you purchased. They're not really recommending it. If the fan noise is something recent with yours you should return it, but, if it's been that way since you installed it, now you know why.

This is a noisy power supply, so if you cannot stand loud PC parts, better stay away from it.

Well I just found the fix after hours of trying different methods. I'm very new to EVGA and didn't know anything about an ECO mode, but I did conclude that was causing the very obnoxious fan sound so I turned it off and now when I load into games I don't at all hear the fan going. I can kind of hear it but it isn't as bad before.

actually now that im listening more all I can hear now is GPU bottleneck which I have come use to
