Hey guys

I am gonna try mining (don`t judge).

I am getting a MSI Z87-G45 GAMING - motherboard
i7 4770k (no plan to overcock)
8 gigs of ram (not sure of brand)
1000 watt corsair gold psu
2 TB hard drive

I can provide more info if needed but can I use 2 GTX 970`s (No SLI)? I also do not plan to overclock the graphics cards, Is my 1000 watt psu enough? If not, can you guys point me to a psu I would need?

Thanks!

Thanks guys,

@UnforgivenGamer: It say's 500 watts per card. But is that taking into effect everything running in my computer as well? I also forgot to mention I have 2, 3TB internal hard drives as well.

Also while mining, I plan to run both cards at 80% power limit using msi afterburner.

I will not use sli. If I don't, is it still 700 watts? I want each card to work independently.

I plan to put one card on pcie 3.0, 16x and the other card on pcie 3.0, 8x.

Thanks for all your help so far by the way.
