Greetings! Im thinking of buying an RTX 3070 from ASUS and I got a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu with a 550 watt corsair PSU and was wondering if it can handle that for a couple of months, B450-F motherboard with corsair vengeance ram 3200mhz. Im buying an 750 watt PSU later but for now I cant afford one.

Solution
PSU wattage recomendations (and for Ampere especially) are based more on peak load (stress tests and millisecond power draw peaks) than on average\sustained, and that with high-est end hardware a regular consumer can get. Your gaming load with R5 3600 would be considerably lower than that, 550W is a plenty. So try it, if it's stable (no shutdowns) then it's fine.

Nope the recommended psu is 650 watt, your current psu won't handle🙁
