Hello

So I have this older PSU delta gps-400BB A. REV 400W and when I checked some compatibility site it said that this psu would be compatible with gtx960 (4gb MSI) but I have my doubts so I would like your opinions guys
I will post more details if necessary

Thanks for answers

Solution
The GeForce website says a 400w is recommended in a build with an i7, but it really depends on how many amps are on the 12v rail. That PSU says it has 2 rails with 16 on the first and 17 on the second for a combined 33. Sources say the 960 only needs 20, so it should be fine.

How is he going to use more than one rail? Don't Geforce GTX 960 cards only have a single 6-pin or 8-pin power connector?

If what Cory says is correct and it is a multiple rail power supply, I'd budget in replacing it.

*Update* I looked up your power supply online and I can't see any PCI-E Power connectors, make sure to check your unit before you buy a card.

Thanks for the early answer It helped me a lot but could you please tell me what would happen if the psu were not sufficient enough, would It cause any damage ?

The CPU also uses 12v so some power supplies split it into multiple rails. This thread talks all about it. But if it doesn't even have the connector for the card, then I agree. I shouldn't be trusted. If the power supply didn't have enough power, the best thing that would happen is the PC would shut down. If it's a cheapo supply, it'll probably take out other components with it. More expensive ones combat that by stopping the surge at the power supply
