cm xtreme pp 500w psu

I ended up buying a 7750 this is the edit

My own machine was a 3750k, 7850 (I have a 670 now, but haven't got the kill-a-watt out yet), 2 spinning drives and an SSD. I couldn't get it to pull more than about 220 watts from the wall.

Your power supply seems a little strange for a 500w that it can only supply 430 watts combined, and only 360 down the 12v rails (and that's split in to two rails), but even so you should have plenty of head room since you have the 6-pin connector needed for the video card.

It will work with your current PSU as traciatim stated above. It might be true that your PSU might not be the BEST quality available but don't worry, it will work fine. Don't feel threatened about some of the bad replies you got :)

So in that link you sent it passed both voltage stability tests and ripple tests up to about 300 watts and wouldn't even fail to power a machine in their 450, 499, and 480 just that the signal was noisy, which would probably be filtered out by the regulators in most machines, but may cause instability. Are you still maintaining it won't work pushing 200 watts? I don't understand how you are coming to your conclusions.
