Hello ! I am building my computer, Im not going to be very picky about it just now since my budget it's sort of limited. I will be using the on-board graphics,.I want to know what PSU is the right one for this build.

Motherboard: Asus Z170-A
CPU: Intel i5 6600
Memory: Kingston 8gb 2133

I already have a PSU - Seasonic 550w 80plus bronze that i bought sometime ago when my old coomputer was still alive. (intel P4 775). Will this PSU handle this requirements or should I get another one in which case what do you recommend? I have $100ish left to spend.

the softwares that I use the most are:

-Finale 2012
-Archicad 14
-Facebook games and sometimes sims 4/ medieval/harry potter adventures (or games with similar graphics)
-Chrome I usually end up having a lot of tabs open simultaneously because I research a lot.
-Aimp 4 with lossless sound
-bs player or vcl media at 720p most of the time, rarely 1080p (that's probably because i dont like to have many gb for a movie when 720 is pretty good for me.
-windows 10 pro

Thank you very much for your time guys.

Solution
There are a fair number of graphics cards, that PSU will safely handle. 750w would only be a neccessity, if you were running multi card setups, or an older/power hungry GPU, like a GTX 780ti, or an R9 290/390.

What on earth? Who told you this? You don't even have a GPU that system will never even draw past 80W.

Just a guy who supposedly fixes computers. I was kind of suspicious though...Thus i came here to ask.

Thank you!!!!!

Thank you to you too!! :bounce:

By his logic my Ti-86 calculator will need a good 450W power supply.

I sincerely hope you're not looking at this guy to 'fix' your computer. If you were..... rethink that, sounds like they'd cost you a lot more than necessary.

No worries, I won't. It was just a casual conversation and he said that and I suspected he wasn't right. I kinda get around with the basics of computers, I'm still learning to do the math when it comes to PSU's as evidence shows xD. Thank you very much guys! I won't close this thread just yet because I have a GPU at home that MAYBE could work but i dont remember the name and model. So i'll be asking you later about it .
Again. Thank you!!!

Burrnnnned! xD
