PSU for MSI GAMING X 1070 + I5 6600 + 16 GB RAM

hello comunity i wanted to ask for your advice on this subject what power suplies should i buy for mi pc this is mi rig

now i have a thermaltake tr2 500w conected to this without the GPU,

what psu shoud i buy?

what is your budget? there are plenty of 520-650w power supplies that will work great.

Your current PSU is sufficient, so not sure why you are considering replacing it.

My i7-3770K + GTX1080 never hits 375Watts. I know, because that's when the fan kicks in on my EVGA G2 750W.

So you probably sit near 60% load with that setup under heavy gaming.

If you want one to reduce NOISE that's a different story. If so I'd get a 750W with an ECO mode which can disable the fan. Yes, 750W is overkill but with a 650W the fan MIGHT kick in and defeat the point of it (the G2 fan is surprisingly noisy).

*There are some other excellent power supplies that have quiet fans though. My EVGA G2 fan was supposed to be quiet. It's not. I bought my dad a "Be Quiet!" PSU which is pretty great.
