Hi
I am new here, and I tried to post this question earlier (without success, i hope this time it will work :) )

I have just bought a MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super Ventus OC.
Currently I have a 1660 super on an Asus B460M-K with I5 10400F, one block of 16GB Ram, an Intel 665P 1 TB NvMe SSD. Watercooling on the CPU.
The current PSU is Corsair CV550 550W.

My concern is if the PSU will deliver enough power for the new GPU?
On the box it says requires 650w. However, if i check on bequiet.com it says 80% load on a 550w BUT with a non OC GPU (does it matter??)
My question is, does anyone no if this will be OK?
And what can be the consequence if the psu is too small?
Thanks in advance.
Lars

Solution
Running a CV550 with that kind of GPU is never a good idea. If you can pay hundreds of dollars for a beefy GPU, you should be willing to spend more on a PSU :).

I'm not sure I'd call it crappy. It's an OK PSU for entry-level builds. It's just a bad idea when you've moved on past entry-level builds, as anything with a 2070 would be (and honestly, so would a 1660 Super). It's more that it's just inappropriate for your use.
