Hello,

I've bought an Odroid HC2 to use it as a personal NAS or backup (not meant to run 24/7, just when I want to watch some movies stored in the HDD). It needs a standard 12V/2A PSU so there's no problem finding that. But a question popped in my mind when I was looking at those PSU. There are 2 "types", if I may say so: the big ones, and the small one, that are integrated into the power plug itself. I'll give 2 pictures to describe, respectively

Both deliver 12V/2A. So which one would be "better" for my NAS? I'm aiming for the most reliable one, price is not a problem, neither is room. I was thinking that the bigger one would dispatch the heat easier right? Or I might be wrong on that. Anyway, what would be the difference between both? Since if they're selling both, there must be a reason for one to chose the big or the tiny one?
Thank you

I don't think we can make any conclusions as far as which one is better from the info we have.
The components in one might be of much higher quality than the other and we have no way to know.
Assuming the components are of the same quality, I would go for the wall mounted PSU as I think it's more convenient not having that clunky box laying around.....and the fact that that plug can get pulled out of the box.
