Hi, I never really trust PSU calculators so thought maybe you fine folks can help me narrow down a PSU.

My computer is built and working fine with these

Aorus Master z390
8700K OC to 5 GHz @ 1.32 v
1080 ti
750 Seasonic Titanium
64 gigs of RAM

I need to add one more 1080 ti and although I've built what appears to be a gaming PC, well I don't game.

This computer is used only for VFX work and primarily GPU rendering in Redshift. However I still pull out the CPU renderer engines sometimes too.

It doesn't seem like Redshift pulls from the CPU that much but if I add another 1080 Ti, would my 750 watt PSU be enough?

The PSU calculators say that this setup could pull over 850 and go on to recommend a 1000w PSU which seems excessive to me.

I Guess the 1080 ti's can draw 250W each? So that's 500.. but does the cpu, ram and HDs need another 500?

Thanks for any help on this.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Good to know the PSU calculators have generally been right then. I read the the seasonic 850W PSU can actually pull as much as 1000w. But I suppose I should just go ahead and the 1000w anyway.

Thanks again.
