I know there's already many question on these matter BUT i'm still in doubt on my latest experienced.. I just bought myself a GTX 970 Gigabyte which prefer 500W on the box(550W from the manufacture website) and i had a Huntkey 500W 80+.. I guessed yeah it doesn't meet the standard BUT WHY is it i got message 'anti-surge detected an unstable psu' from Asus(crashed and hanged at startup bios) after playing these 2 games for a minute - Dying Light and Rust! There's no problem with other games like Battlefield 4 and few other good graphic title formore than half an hours.. really appreciate for some lesson and info's..thanks in advance!

Some games push your hardware more than others. BF is more GPU intensive while Dying Light will push your CPU hard as well which equals more power draw. I would definitely grab a new PSU like was said before.

Excuse me,this will be my last question.. Can i just down clock my base clock speed to normal 970's standard which is 1050MHz boost up to 1178..? Mine is clocked at 1178MHz and boost up to 1329MHz in Gaming Mode by default..

I wouldn't recommend running your PC with a PSU that close to maxing out but I suppose if you HAVE to, you can downclock your 970 and CPU to a lower voltage and clock. This should definitely be as temporary as possible. Make sure to disable the boost on both just to be safe.
