[SOLVED] PSU has ATX 24 pin but MOBO only has 8 pin ?

I have found a adaptor online to convert the 24 pin into a 8 pin. Will this work or will it cause me problems to my MOBO or GPU ? Thanks

Which MB ? if it has only an 8pin it must be some ready made brand name MB so you would need a 24 to 8pin to be specific for that model as 20/24 pins are standard but 8 pin are not.
