Hey
Just a quick question im going to setup my PSU in my Osidian 450D case, which is located in the buttom.
My question is how much space should there be beneath the case for the air flow.

Currently there is only about 2 cm, is that enough?

Solution
Under a desk seems like an awkward place.
Why there?

I would avoid hanging the case; they are heavy and if it should slip or fall you can damage the cpu/motherboard if you have a heavy cooler.
Under the desk, just put a piece of plywood under it if you are on a carpet.

Any reason not to put it to one side of the desk?

Thanks for the answer mate.

Another question if you dont mind, i am considering maybe hanging it under my desk, but then the thing holding it up will cover 3 cm of the fan
Is that a stupid idea or can it work?

It was more because of needed space on my desk but i think i can make it work

There's another reason it is not recommended to put your PC on or near the floor and to get it up as high as possible: when you walk or your pet walks, dust and minute dirt particles get stirred up down there and can be sucked in. If you have hardwood flooring where the PC is, it's a little better than carpet (but not by much) which is like shaking out a dust pan when walking on it no matter how often you vacuum.
