Hello
My basic problem is that I'm preparing build and can't decide on PSU
So specification of build
i7-4770k (possible overclock up to 4.5, probably will stay at around 4-4.2),
asus sabertooth z87
2-4 ram sticks 1.5v (so far 2 x 8gb but possible increase later),
1x sapphire r9 290 vapor-x (but also possible 2nd gpu later),
up to 6 case fans (noctua nf-s12a x1, nf-a14 x3, nf-f12 x2)
cpu cooling nh-u14s with 2nd nf-a15
1 x blu-ray odd,
1 x ssd (500gb)
1 x 7200 hdd (2tb wd green)
case corsair c70
At start I plan to use 1 gpu only but maybe I ll upgrade to 2x gpu later hence my PSU problem
.
When I used extreme power supply calculator with that setup, with all expansion up to 2x GPU in mind, OC to 4.5ghz, 4 ram and 20% capacitator aging it gave me 813w as min and recommended 863w and recommending 1000w psu.
Did i put that aging too high? Are those numbers accurate? I would like to keep that PSU for long time so will 860w psu be enough or should i really get 1000w+?
My 1st choice was Corsair RM1000 on paper it's features looks nice, but I read few bad things about RM serie, even that RM1000 is i think made with different parts than rest of serie. Also it's cheapest 1000w I found here.
So I'm thinking about some other brand maybe seasonic, enermax, evga.
Here is list of PSU from shop i plan to use to buy my build, which one would you recommend?
Prices are in euro.
850/860w
EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 - 119,04
Corsair RM850 - 130,63
Enermax Revolution87+ 850w Gold - 157,42
Corsair AX860 - 161,03
Seasonic X Series 850 - 173,23
Corsair AX860i - 183,83
Seasonic P Series 860 - 185,47
Enermax Platimax 850w Platinum - 238,85
1000w+
Corsair RM1000 - 155,6
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G - 163,2
Seasonix X Series 1050 - 195,11
Enermax Revolution87+ 1000W Gold - 195,78
Seasonic P Series 1000 - 217,71
And last question (i promise) if I would go with Seasonic for example is it worth pay that extra 12/22 euro for platinum (P) over gold (X) serie ?
Sorry for wall of text and hope for some good advice. Thank you
