I bought a Corsair VS550 Power Supply Unit on 1st Oct,2014. It provided me excellent service until 12th Jan, 2015. That day my PC shut down like the power cable just got pulled out, then the PC automatically kept trying to restart several times without even going to the BIOS screen. Next day I tried to start the PC again and surprisingly it started up normally, but about 20-30 min. later the same incident happened again. I had no problem with my other computer accessories or with the voltage source because, I connected my old PSU and it was working fine.
I informed corsair customer service about that problem and they suggest me to submit the PSU to their service center for RMA. I did submit that as they said and get the exchanged copy of that PSU 1 week later.
But from few days now I am having the same problem again. But this time I notice that the PSU is shutting down specificly under load (like playing a game). I have checked my PC's power consumption on various sites, and according to those, a 450W PSU is just fine for me. I have checked my wall port by a electrical technician, and it is fine to. So, I want to know what is wrong with this product ?

Here is my computer's specs below:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3330
MB: Intel DZ75ML-45K
GPU: Asus GTX 660 OC Edition
RAM : 4 X 4GB Corsair Vengeance
Storage: 2 X Seagate Baracuda HDD (7200RPM), 1 Samsung 850 EVO SSD
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R (2 + 1 120mm fan)

Please tell me what should I do?

Solution
Doesn't seem to be a power issue to me, more like an overheating issue, stressful programs like games push your system into overheating, the pc shuts down itself for protection and won't boot until temps drop to an acceptable point.

Monitor your CPU and GPU temps, you can use HWMonitor Pro for both or GPU-Z for your video card and Coretemp / Realtemp for your CPU, make sure to enable the log feature so you can review the results after it shuts down.

Once/if an overheating is confirmed, clean all dust inside your case specially in your CPU and GPU fans, it might be also time to replace thermal paste in your CPU/GPU.

I have seen the list of tier 1 & 2.. but can you suggest me little bit of cheaper solution... because my max budget is around Rs.5000-5500 ($80 to $85 including tax)..
and by the way, will corsair exchange this PSU as well??.. because it is in warranty period also...

Nope, you do not want that Corsair PSU. It is bad quality and likely the cause of your issues. You need to get a different unit. The PSU is the single most important part of the PC and you NEED to get a quality one.

Link me to a site you can buy from and I will select the one you should buy.

Here are some site as you ask..:
www.flipkart.com
www.snapdeal.com
www.amazon.in
www.ebay.in
www.mdcomputers.in

you can also tell me some PSU's that are not on those sites...
please, make sure that my budget is around Rs.5000 to Rs.5500...
by the way, is Corsair CX550 is OK for me?

Thank you for this... But are you sure Antec is a good company to trust?? I mean it has only 2 years of warranty.. and what about it's 550W version??
And one more question ... Is Corsair RM550 is good?? It is pricey, but if I wait few months, I may save enough money to buy that...
