I bought an MSI barebones build and I've been having some issues with it.

Specs: AMD FX-6100 Bulldozer (Zambezi) 3.3GHz (Six Core)

ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3 Motherboard

8 GB RAM single channel

For awhile I've had this issue were when ever I was running a game it would suddenly shut off on me. I thought my power supply was efficient enough so I assumed it had to be faulty. After testing it, my issues came down to this;

While running games it would randomly shutdowns

It was inconsistent even with using the same game to test

Would be able to instantly power on machine although it would be frozen and I would have to shut it down

So I figured either a) it's faulty or b) inefficient

So I replaced it with a 550w and I put in a graphics card. I ran into the same issue again expect much sooner. After some work I realized my new card needs more power then my PCI e slot outputs and my 550w doesn't have a 6 pin (new to building) so I removed the card and it started working fine for about 10 minutes. Then it randomly shutdown again and will not power back on as of this post (maybe about 15mins have gone by).

I'm utterly defeated here.

Edit: forgot to mention I'm using Windows 10

The 400watt was a diablotek-psda400a and the new PSU is LOGISYS PS550E12 550W 120mm Switching Power Supply

Update: tried unplugging then replugging everything, worked for awhile then I swapped out a WLAN card for a LAN (bought the wrong one lol) then it's surge protector kicked in after I started it up (about 5 it so mins in)
