Question PSU making loud high pitched noise even when pc is off

My psu is making a very loud high pitched noise every few seconds/minutes, even if my pc and the psu itself is switched off. Previously my psu was the Cooler Master v750 sfx and I replaced it with Corsair SF750 and the problem is still there. Any idea what is causing this? Thanks!

did you have the noises on last PSU as well??

cause... maybe its not the PSU to blame? If PC is off it shouldn't make any noises.

Unplug PC and see if it still happens.

Sure its not a dongle or something attached to a USB slot on PC?

Yes.

I bet the noise goes away if you take the PC somewhere else and plug it into a completely different circuit.

I tested for a while and it seems like you're right. Any idea how to fix it? Or what should I even tell the electrician if I call one?

Simply tell the electrician what the problem is and that it doesn't happen when plugged in to a different socket. If he knows his stuff he should be able to find the cause and fix it.
