PSU Mobo connector

Hi everybody, I am doing my first build, and am encountering some problems. While a component in my machine could very well be defective, it could also be a simple matter of wiring gone wrong. My 24-pin motherboard connector seems to be very resistant in going in to its respective slot, and I was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem. I am using the Corsair CX600M with the MSI A88X-G43 motherboard. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Corsair CX600s have had a lot of problems with badly moulded 24 pin connectors. RMA it.

The CX series and some of the RM series have issues , poorly designed latch.
