Psu/Motherboard for my new computer

I am building my first pc and am looking for advice regarding the system, more specifically what a good quiet power supply would be and if the mother board in my current build is seen to be "good" any other suggestions regarding the pc are also welcomed.

edit: no real budget, just not ridiculously expensive, but noise is a large factor but i might be using sli later on so preferably a power supply that can cope with that

Budget? Are you wanting to SLI later? I have heard the Asus motherboard does have a bios flaw with the clock freezing, but I have yet to see it. A good alternative would be the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7.

Yes, that motherboard has some very good reviews. Probably the best motherboard for the 1150 socket in my opinion.

Do you have a budget for the PSU? I would only use Seasonic or XFX personally. I use an EVGA 600B in my system, but I got it for a steal at $25. Seasonic and XFX are the best names in PSU's. Also Corsair makes good ones if you don't go with the CX series.

The 1000w EVGA is a bit overkill but by not running it real hard it will be quieter.
