Components
MB - Asus RIVE
GPU - 2X Nvidia GTX 680
CPU - I7 3960X
RAM - 32GB 8x4gb
PSU - Seasonic 1250w Gold
Problem - My psu wont power on after hiting the start button on the case, or the start button on the motherboard, Leaving the PSU powered off for awhile will allow me to boot using either of the buttons. (this leads me to think of overcharged capacitor problems)
However, playing around with the powerswitch of the PSU (balancing between of and on, will sometimes cause a static sound and if done right, the PC will power on.) And playing around with removing and reinserting the powercord in to the PSU will do the same thing, a Static sound and then a powering on of the PSU (this occurs if the power button on the PC was recently hit).
This is the second seasonic PSU that has had this fate in the past year in my build, i went out and purchased a new to replace the old one that had a similar fate (required long periods of no-load before it would power on).
I have a feeling it could be overcharged capacitors, but what would cause that? could it be a bad ground? i have a feeling that might be an issue aswell, i have no idea. Anyone delt with a similar problem?
Update: I also wanted to add, that when the computer is up and running there are 0 issues, the computer runs fun, performs perfect under stress tests. its only booting back up after a shutdown or powerless that is a problem.
