PSU Noise

Hey Guys,

I just recently built my own computer and everything has gone really well. I am able to play games on max settings and everything. yet I have one concern: the sound my PSU makes. The best analogy I can use to describe the sound is that it is like the PSU is loading data, if that makes any sense (Idk if it's like a clicking or what, it is not in a certain pattern, just constant). Do all PSU's make this noise? Or any noise at all?

Thanks!

No, not all PSU's make that sound, and it does sound like there's something wrong. It could be the PSU is loose, or some part inside it is, or there's a piece of junk that's vibrating inside it.

Try putting some pressure on the PSU, see if that alters the noise.

Another thing, its not like it a loud sound. I can hear it sitting next to the computer, and realized it was the PSU only after putting my ear up to it.
