psu opinions please

thermaltake tr2 600w would this be reliable with an r9 290 and i5 2300?

No it wouldn't be very reliable in the long run.

long story short i had 2 pc's and sold one to buy an r9 290....forgot to take out my xfx 750w......bought said gpu and realized i have a 500W psu in my pc now i have very low funds and need apsu i can get a 650w tr2 for 29.99 after rebate

That $30 more than you should spend on that PSU. 500w is a little low for a 290 as is, if it was a REALLY good unit I would say you could maybe get away with it, but the TR2 is not a good quality unit at all.

I would save up for something better. Unless you want to have problems running it or worse turn you new GPU into an expensive paperweight.

never said i was buying a 500w i have a 500w buying a 650 but very low budget and if i play above low setting pc shuts down so not feeling safe waiting to upgrade.....i figure the tr2 650 is better than my 500w i have now
