Hello All,
I'm having a problem with my PC and I can't figure out if its the motherboard or the power supply.
The problem: Last night the computer went into standby, and it went to power itself off and I hear two clicking sounds and then it "turned off" but the power button was still on. It had done this before but I simply restarted the PC and everything was fine.
The symptoms:
The monitor says no display - This happened in the beginning. For some odd reason the VGA will only display from the gfx card. Even if I remove the gfx card the VGA port on the MoBo wont display. (all of the gfx drivers were updated)
Some components have no power - The fans, front LED, reset button seem to have no power. I can't tell if it any other components have no power. However, the computer turns on and the fans on the CPU fan and gfx card are spinning.
What I do know: The hard drives are both functional. I attached them to a secondary PC and they are recognized by the other tower. The Ethernet port is also receiving power.
Computer Specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mqmCCJ
The gfx card is a temporary card. I got 750 for the PSU because I plan to upgrade the gfx card later. The monitor is an old flat panel (Viewsonic VG700b)
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
