psu perif / sata question

i have a perif/sata 6 pin that is used for fans / Molex 4 pin

I want to know if anyone knows for a fact if they can be used in a 6 pin sata slot.

that's just what it says it is. I don't know what a preif is either. but it has the Molex on the other end of the 6 pin connector.

Did you mean labels on the PSU?
You can connect cables with labels SATA and PERIF to that socket.

Yes. They are the same. Just keep in mind, that socket is meant for supporting 4 SATA drives not some extremely power hungry contraption. That's why I asked, what are you trying connect to it?

16 fans? Sounds excessive.
You'd have to calculate power draw of those fans.
