[SOLVED] PSU pin connectors

My graphic card is EVGA 1080 ti sc2 that uses 1 6pin and 8 pin
and my psu is evga supernova g2 750watt
I have only two 6+2 pin connectors my question is when I leave the two pin dangling and full 8-pins In the psu for both the 6 pins and 8 pins will that fry the 6 pins?

No, it's fine. That's precisely why the PSU makers offer the 6+2 connector format. Makes them much more versatile.

Thank you, so just to confirm the 6+2 pin connector is connected fully into my psu and only the 6 pins in the gpu is alright.
