I was wondering if this psu is enough for my current build
CPU: i7-4790k
GPU: rtx 2080
I have 2 hdds (one 3tb and one 1tb, both 7200rpm)
I have a few led fans idk if that counts for anything

My power supply is a corsair 650w. Here's a link:

I also read that the stuff i plug into my usb ports can draw power... I'm not sure if that matters but I have an led mouse, led keyboard and xbox controller...

If this isn't enough how much power would you recommend? Also as a side question what is the minimum amount of power that you would recommend with this build?

Solution
I would get a better quality unit than that for your system, the CX really isn't ment for your type of system.

650W is fine.

Seasonic Focus Plus
EVGA G2 or G3
Corsair RMX

What power supply would you recommend?

Any one of the 4 I posted is good.

If I had to choose I would go with the Focus Plus or EVGA G2.

Thanks for the help! I'll probably go with the G2

I have the same setup with the exception of the PSU. My PSU is the Corsair RMX 650 and it runs fine with the RTX 2080. The I7 4790K is the best CPU I've ever bought, I think I got mine about 4-5 yrs ago. I can see it lasting at least another 2 yrs :)

Depending on your RAM, make sure you enable XMP in bios to give you an extra boost. I never new it existed until I upgraded to 16GB and noticed not all of it was being utilised. Check your temps afterwards though because it will increase a bit.
